Fleur de Sel Villa sits on a gentle hillside on Anguilla's southern, breeze kissed edge. The villa owes its name (French for "salt flower") to an abandoned salt pond just down the hill that separates the property from the ocean, as well as the owners' love of cooking.
The villa offers two living areas. The upper residence, completed in 2009, has quickly earned a reputation for the phenomenal way in which its open-space design takes advantage of the multi-island view of the Leeward chain and the French side of St. Martin just five miles across the water. The lower level residence is a fully furnished "grandmother's apartment". Both spaces are fully air conditioned and equipped with overhead fans.
The main residence blends 3500 square feet of outdoor decks with an equivalent amount of indoor space. Its design features a two story living, dining and chef's kitchen area with a vaulted wood ceiling, a pair of luxurious and spacious bedroom suites that include king size beds, ensuite bathrooms with double vanities and walk-in closets, an office with two separate workspaces and a queen sofa bed, a gym with a recumbent bike, treadmill, yoga mats and a portable massage table and a powder room. The living area is surrounded on three sides by two stories of sliding glass doors and picture windows and opens out on to the main deck. It has a state-of-the-art entertainment center that includes satellite TV, Internet and Wi-Fi. The outdoor area sports a 40 foot infinity pool that is perfect for lap swimming or floating on a collection of inflatables, two hammocks, chaises, outdoor dining table with umbrella, a powder room and a Viking BBQ.
The lower level apartment includes a full kitchen, dining and living area with TV, as well as two king-bedded bedrooms and a large bath. There is also a second full bathroom that is accessed outside. The laundry room with washer and dryer is located on the lower level.
Either the main residence or both levels are available for rent.
Fleur de Sel is located 3.5 kms from the island's capital, The Valley. One of the island's best inlets for snorkeling is only a short walk from the villa and all of the island's 31 other magnificent beaches are just a short drive away. One of the island's better markets, Best Buy, is conveniently located just a couple of blocks away and virtually all of the island's restaurants are within a 15 minute drive.
Fleur de Sel is a non-smoking villa, and is not suitable for children under age 12.
